FAVOR
And the Lord gave the people favor in the sight of the Egyptians. Moreover the man Moses was very great in the land of Egypt, in the sight of Pharaoh’s servants and in the sight of the people. (Ex. 11:3)
Almighty God, throughout Scripture, a distinguishing
mark of your chosen people was the favor they founding the eyes of their
superiors.
After Joseph was arrested under false charges, You
showed him mercy by giving him favor in the sight of the keeper of the prison.
Joseph was then elevated to a place of authority (Gen. 39:21).
When the children of Israel were departing Egypt, You gave them favor in
the sight of the Egyptians. Soon
their former captors blessed them with an abundance of possessions until Your
chosen people had plundered them. (Ex. 12:36).
As one of Your chosen people, I ask for favor in the
eyes of my superiors. May You
reward my faithfulness in the little with influences and ever increasing
responsibility (Matt. 25:21). Bless the work of my hands that my coworkers would
see the imprint of Your hand and give You glory.
You promised Abraham that his descendants, Your chosen
people, would be blessed to all the people of the earth (Gen. 12:2-3).
You fulfilled that promise in Jesus, and You continue to bless the people
of the earth through those who are called by Your name.
Father, I ask that You would supply all my needs according to Your riches
in glory by Christ Jesus (Phil 4:19), and then continue carrying out Your
promise by making me a channel of financial blessing into the lives of others.
May Your unmistakable blessing on my life, ultimately flowing into the
lives of those around me, draw others closer to Your (2 Cor. 9:8).
I acknowledge that every good gift and every perfect gift is from above and comes down from the Father of lights, with whom there is no variation or shadow of turning (James 1:7). May my presence bring pleasure and joy to those in authority over me just as Your presence does in my life.
