PROBLEMS WITH YOUR
EMPLOYEES
Masters give your bondservants what is just and fair, knowing that you also have a Master in Heaven (Col. 4:1)
Heavenly Father, I know the only reason I serve in a
position of authority is because You have placed me here (Rom. 13:1).
“For there is no authority except from God, and the authorities that
exist are appointed by God” (Rom. 13:1b).
As your appointed authority in my given scope of responsibility, I
realize I not only answer to whoever rules over me, but I also answer to You
(Col. 4:1). Therefore, I take very
seriously the responsibility You have entrusted into my charge.
I desperately need Your wisdom to sort through the mixed
emotions and conflicts that exist between my employee (s) and me.
You promise if any lack wisdom, let him ask of God, who gives to all
liberally and without reproach, and it will be given to him. (James 1:5).
So without any doubting, I look to You for guidance and wisdom to be the
manager that You have anointed me to be.
Give me the discernment to know when to apply the law
and when to apply grace. May I be
steadfast in the face of rebellion and courageous to do the right thing over the
easy thing.
Prince of Peace, come permeate my workplace with Your
presence. Bring clarity to our
confusion and conciliation to our conflict.
I commit myself to pursuing peace with all people, and holiness without
which no one will see the Lord.
Reveal to me the redemptive lesions You are trying to
work in my life through my employees. Prevent
me from responding out of revenge, anger, or wounded pride, and work in me the
humility to admit any of my shortcomings or faults that may have played a role
in the tension that exists.
May Your love radiate through me, and may I model Your
love for them.
