2004 - The Acceptable Year of the Lord and the Day of Vengeance of Our God

When, and for some of you this has already occurred, the New Year begins we will have walked into a totally new era both in the natural and in the spirit. Nothing will ever be the same. There are two key scriptures for this new era and they are Isaiah 61: 1-11, and Psalms 91. And I will expound on these scriptures in this word.

I went back and looked at some of the things that the Lord told me over the past year, which apply to this new era. “The Dawning of a New Day, You Are THE Chosen Generation, I Am Calling You Out of Your Comfort Zones, I Will Comfort You In Troubled Times, Now That Moses Is Dead, and Yesterday’s Manna Is Wormy.”

To fully understand this New Era, we have to look back at what He has done over the previous year. It has been a year of purging, healing, breaking, testing, waiting, and all those things that try the souls of men. The purpose of all of this has been to prepare us for that which is ahead. He has shaken every foundation that was built upon sand, and built for us a sure foundation. We have come to the place of trusting Him, and Him alone. Some have lost their jobs, their homes, their 401k’s, and everything that meant security to them. Why? Because there are days coming that this generation has never seen, and we will be like Elijah who solely depended upon the supernatural provision of God.

His purpose for everything that has touched our lives can be found in Hosea 6:1-3, 6:1 Come, and let us return unto the LORD: for he hath torn, and he will heal us; he hath smitten, and he will bind us up. 2 After two days will he revive us: in the third day he will raise us up, and we shall live in his sight.3 Then shall we know, if we follow on to know the LORD: his going forth is prepared as the morning; and he shall come unto us as the rain, as the latter and former rain unto the earth. It has been a year of preparing us to live in His sight. Those that have come out of this wilderness experience are now leaning on the arm of the Lord. Knowing that He, and He, alone will provide everything that we need spiritually, physically, emotionally, and financially. And those that have pressed in to Him and have continued to follow Him regardless of the fact that it looked like the midnight hour in their lives, will now experience His renewing, refreshing, and restoration. And in this New Year He is going to restore it all. We are crossing the Jordan and entering the Promised Land, and that is the place where promises are fulfilled. But, to His sorrow, there are those that have chosen not cross the Jordan because it was unfamiliar to them, fear has gripped their souls, and they have chosen the old rather than the new.

Living in His sight means that we are experiencing Him as no other generation ever has. An intimacy with God that in the past people have only dreamed of. But, we are THE chosen generation. We are the generation that has sought Him with all of our being, we have followed hard after Him, and not sought His hand. And we have captured His heart, and He has captured ours. And this intimacy with the Living God has produced in our beings anointing, and power that flows directly from His throne, and it will change not only our lives, but also the world. Signs and wonders that the world has never seen before, nor have we, and the masses will come to experience Him through His people. In this New Year people will come up and say, “Let me go with you to the house of your God.” Not because of us, but because of His manifested presence in our lives.

Isaiah 61, which it one of the key scriptures for 2004, because it very clearly states the anointing that His people will walk in. There is a progression in this scripture. First the anointing, His manifested presence in us. We will preach good tidings unto the meek. This speaks of those that are depressed, oppressed and wounded. These are those, which have been trodden down by the current religious system that rejects, manipulates, and controls the people of God. Second, we will bind up their broken hearts, and show them the reality of a true relationship with the Living God. Third, after their wounds have been bound up then we can proclaim liberty to the captives. Finally, then the anointing will open the prison doors to them that are bound, and what has bound them are the wounds that they received in the House of God.

“To proclaim the acceptable year of the Lord, and the day of vengeance of our God; to comfort all that mourn: to appoint unto them that mourn in Zion, to give unto them beauty for ashes, the oil of joy for mourning, the garment of praise for the spirit of heaviness; that they might be called trees of righteousness, the planting of the Lord, that He might be glorified.” There is mourning, and sadness in the church today because of the oppression by the leaders. But, in this New Year, God will sit down, and He will raise up. There are those that have been hidden away and God has prepared them to come to the forefront, and establish His Kingdom in the earth, even the church of Jesus Christ. The anointing will bring restoration to all that mourn and have ashes upon their heads because of the religious system that has heaped coals upon them, and caused them to be in bondage to the enemy.. This anointing will bring joy and praise into their lives. Why? So that they might be called the “trees of righteousness, the planting of the Lord that He might be glorified. Their wounded ness has caused them to mourn and be depressed. Under the old religious system they could not be called trees of righteousness the planting of the Lord because they were in bondage to man and his wisdom, which was totally carnal. Men that only wanted to use God’s people as a means of procuring money and building their own kingdom. Where the Spirit of the Lord is there is liberty and freedom, and this New Year will bring the revelation of the freedom that God has for His people. The line between the religious and the anointed has been drawn. There will be no question as to who is walking in the anointing, and who is not.

“And they shall build the old wastes, they shall raise up the former desolations, and they shall repair the waste cities, the desolations of many generations.” God’s people that are walking in the new anointing will restore the damage that the religious system has wrought in the earth. There will be Nehemiah’s that will build and restore. That will be their calling to build again that which the religious system has destroyed. The law will become honorable again.

“And strangers shall stand and feed your flocks, and the sons of the alien shall be your plowmen and your vinedressers.” And these will be ordinary people, not known in religious circles of today that God will be forth in this New Year. Suddenly great moves and works of God will come forth and no one will recognize the names of those that have started these movements. They are the foolish that will confound the wise, they are the hidden ones, and they will be the fore runners that He is going to reveal, as He brings down the haughty and raises up the humble.

“But ye shall be named the Priest of the Lord: men shall call you the Ministers of our God: ye shall eat the riches of the Gentiles, and in their glory shall ye boast yourselves. For your shame ye shall have double; and for confusion they shall rejoice in their portion: therefore in their land they shall possess the double: everlasting joy shall be unto them.” Glory to God forevermore! What has all the preparation been for? It has been to take us from faith to faith and glory to glory, and to cause us to rise up to be a Royal Priesthood, even Ministers of our God. And we will be the Priests that minister before His throne day and night. Serving Him with all of our beings, totally devoted to Him, cleansed, purified, and fit to stand in the presence of a Holy God, and to be His emissaries in the earth.

There has been much shame in the stripping and the breaking that God has done, but the promise here is that He will restore even a double portion of all that was lost. “…in their land they shall possess the double…” Walking in destiny and calling possessing the spiritual land that He has promised. Filled with provision for the work that He has ordained.

“ For I the Lord love judgment, I hate robbery for burnt offering: and I will direct their work in truth, and I will make an everlasting covenant with them. And their seed shall be known among the Gentiles, and their offspring among the peoples: all that see them shall acknowledge them, that they are the seed which the Lord hath blessed.” It is wisdom and revelation that brings forth truth, and He is pouring out that spirit upon His people. In this New Year, the secrets and mysteries of His Kingdom will be revealed even truth that has never been revealed but it will be to this generation. And these truths will direct the work that God has ordained in the earth.

In this next year we will see a move of the Holy Spirit through our children, both natural and spiritual. The anointing will run from the head down unto the Body. Unlike the generation that is passing away that wanted the anointing only for themselves so that they could dominate and control. We will see God use our children in signs and wonders. The gifts will flow through them. We will see small children prophesy, lay hands on the sick and they will recover, they will have dreams and visions. There will be a prophetic anointing on them that has been on no other generation. Teenagers that will go to the mall lay hands on others, and they will fall out under the power of God. “And their seed shall be known among the Gentiles, and their offspring among the peoples: all that see them shall acknowledge them, that they are the seed which the Lord hath blessed.”

And we will say as Isaiah did, “I will greatly rejoice in the Lord; my soul shall be joyful in My God: for he hath clothed me with the garments of salvation, He hath covered me with the robe of righteousness, as a bridegroom decketh himself with ornaments, and as a bride adorneth herself with her jewels. For as the earth bringeth forth her bud, and as the garden causeth the things that are sown in it to spring forth; so the Lord God will cause righteousness and praise to spring for the before all the nations.”

In this New Year the Bride will mature in her relationship with her King. As the marriage is consummated, and she becomes one with Him, she will begin the journey of ruling and reigning with Him. But, it will only be the beginning of the journey, as there is still maturing that must happen in her heart. The consummation of their union will bring forth into the earth a Holy seed, whose lives will be holy and acceptable to a Holy God. She will become to Him a helpmate suitable, completing Him in the earth. She will begin to bear children for Him. She has been prepared to feed and nurture them and raise them up in His ways.

In this New Year God will begin to reveal those that have touched His Throne. Those whose lives have been prepared to touch the seat of His authority and power. They will walk in a power and authority that our generation has never seen. They will walk in the same anointing and power that Jesus, Elijah, Elisha, the disciples and apostles of the early church knew. It is a power and authority that has been delegated to them from the Throne of God, and bestowed upon them by the Creator of heaven and earth. He will bid them come and touch His Throne, and to these He will impart this power and authority. It will not be a matter of confessing that we have all power and authority in Jesus name, but it will be an impartation from God Himself.

There is such a transition-taking place in the Spirit, and in the lives of God’s people that they are in unchartered waters. He is taking them into realms of His Spirit where man has never been before. The things that they are seeing and hearing so unfamiliar, and even contrary to that which they previously seen and heard. He is unveiling the hearts and eyes of His people to see into the expanse of heaven, it’s government, and workings. His word is going to be opened up, in the realm of the Spirit, which will bring a whole new wave of revelation of heavenly things to this natural realm.

This New Year will be a year of revelation being released that will cause a maturing in His Body, and a transition. A higher revelation of the relationship with the Father, as God. The God of the universe. The maker of heaven and earth. We call Him Mighty God, but He is going to open our spirits to a higher level of that phrase. We are going to know Him, still as Father, but much more.

Those are some of the things that will happen to the righteous in this New Year, which for the righteous will be the Acceptable Year of the Lord. Now, the other side, which is the Day of Vengeance of Our God. It will be a year when we will both see awesome things, and awful things. But before we discuss some of these things we need to look at Psalms 91.

Psalms 91: 1-16, “He that dwelleth in the secret place of the most High shall abide under the shadow of the Almighty. I will say of the Lord, He is my refuge and my fortress: my God: in him will I trust. Surely he shall deliver thee from the snare of the fowler, and from the noisome pestilence. He shall cover thee with his feathers, and under his wings shall thou trust: his truth shall be thy shield and buckler. Thou shalt not be afraid for the terror by night: nor for the arrow that flieth by day: Nor for the pestilence that walketh in darkness; nor for the destruction that wasteth at noonday. A thousand shall fall at thy side, and ten thousand at thy right hand: but it shall not come nigh three. Only with thine eyes shalt thou behold and see the reward of the wicked.”

If we have learned to live in His presence, to dwell in the secret place, then we shall abide under the shadow of the Almighty, which means that we will be totally under His protection. There will be pestilence, famine, terror, tribulation, and destruction. But, a thousand shall fall by our side, and ten thousand at our right hand, but it will not touch us. Those that have entered into this place with God could have been in Iran the day that He opened up the earth and it swallowed up more than 40,000 people, and the ground on which they stood would have been solid, and unmovable. In this place with Him there is nothing that can harm one hair of our head. This is the reason that He has wooed, called, and compelled us to this depth of intimacy with Him. Because this coming year we will see with our eyes the judgment of the wicked. We will see the destruction that wasteth at noonday, but we will not be shaken, moved, nor harmed by anything that goes on around us. We will have sure footing even as the earth reels to and fro like a drunk man.. A thousand will fall by our side, and ten thousand at our right hand, but it will not touch us.

“Because thou hast made the Lord, which is my refuge, even the most High, thy habitation: There shall no evil befall thee, neither shall any plague come nigh thy dwelling. For He shall give His angels charge over thee, to keep thee in all thy ways. They shall bear thee up in their hands lest thou dash thy foot against a stone. Thou shalt tread upon the lion and adder: the young lion, and the dragon shall thou trample under feet. Because He hath set his love upon me, therefore will I deliver him: I will set him on high, because he hath known my name. He shall call upon me, and I will answer him. I will be with him in trouble. I will deliver him, and honour him. With long life will I satisfy him, and shew him my salvation.”

In this New Year the only place of safety from all that is going to befall the wicked will be under the Shadow of the Almighty. It rains on the just and the unjust, but there is a place of safety and deliverance in Him. This is also a prerequisite for Him giving His angels charge over us. And those that have set their love for Him and Him alone, He will deliver us. Those that have found this place of making Him their habitation, He will protect them, deliver them, be with them in time of trouble, but much more. He will set them on high, because they have known His name. They will call and He will answer. He will even honor these. These are those that have found favor with God and with man, and they are highly esteemed…”and He will deliver and honor him.”

In this year we will see unusual weather, earthquakes in divers places, and disasters all over the world, even in our country. We will see the rich resources of the earth begin to diminish. We will see the economy rise, and fall, rise and fall, rise and fall like a roller coaster. But God will transfer the wealth that He has laid up that belonged to the wicked to the righteous, and His people will become refuges for those that will loose everything. There will nothing stable in the days ahead. We will see the demise of the apostate church, and the rise of the Church of Jesus Christ. We will see rain withheld so that there is not even water to drink in some parts of the world.. We will see rulers, kings, heads of countries and governments be overthrown by the Living God. We will see famine, pestilence and plagues all over the world. We will see nations that are crying out to their dead gods, falling on their knees and confessing that Jesus Christ is Lord. We will see sickness, and disease that can only be destroyed by the healing hand of our God.

But the righteous will see His Glory, and will be His hand extended in the earth. Whatever comes, and whatever happens, if we dwell in the secret place, and abide under the Shadow of the Almighty, and make Him our habitation. Not one hair on our head will be harmed.

2004 is the Acceptable Year of the Lord and the Day of Vengeance of Our God.
