Offer unto God thanksgiving; and pay thy vows unto the most High:
And call upon me in the day of trouble: I will deliver thee, and thou shall glorify me.
Honor the Lord with thy substance, and with the Firstfruits of all thine increase:
So shall thy barns be filled with plenty, and thy presses shall burst out with new wine.
He becometh poor that dealeth with a slack hand: but the hand of the diligent maketh rich.
There is that scattereth, and yet increaseth; and there is that withholdeth more
than is meet, but it tendeth to poverty. The liberal soul shall be made fat:
and he that watereth shall be watered also himself.
He that hath pity upon the poor lendeth unto the Lord;
and that which he hath given will he pay him again.
He that hath a bountiful eye shall be blessed; for he giveth of his bread to the poor.
When thou vowest a vow unto God, defer not to pay it; for he hath no pleasure in fools:
pay that which thou hast vowed. Better is it that thou shouldest not vow, t
han that thou shouldest vow and not pay.
Bring ye all the tithes into the storehouse, that there may be meat in mine house,
and prove me now herewith, saith the Lord of hosts, if I will not open you the windows of heaven, and pour you out a blessing, that there shall not be room enough to receive it.
And I will rebuke the devourer for your sakes, and he shall not destroy the fruits of your ground; neither shall your vine cast her fruit before the time in the field,
saith the Lord of hosts.
And the King shall answer and say unto them, Verily I say unto you, Inasmuch as ye have done it unto one of the least of these my brethren, ye have done it unto me.
Give, and it shall be given unto you; good measure, pressed down, and shaken together, and running over, shall men give into your bosom. For with the same measure that ye mete withal it shall be measured to you again.
Distributing to the necessity of saints; given to hospitality.
