HOW TO WAIT ON GOD

For ye have need of patience, that, after ye have done the will of God, ye might receive the promise.
Hebrews 10:36

Rest in the LORD, and wait patiently for him: fret not thyself because of him who prospereth in his way, because of the man who bringeth wicked devices to pass.  Cease from anger, and forsake wrath: fret not thyself in any wise to do evil.  For evildoers shall be cut off:  but those that wait upon the LORD, they shall inherit the earth.  Psa. 37 :7- 9

I WAITED patiently for the LORD; and he inclined unto me, and heard my cry.  He brought me up also out of an horrible pit, out of the miry clay, and set my feet upon a rock, and established my goings.  And he hath put a new song in my mouth, even praise unto our God: many shall see it, and fear, and shall trust in the LORD.  Psa 40 :1-3

And therefore will the LORD wait, that he may be gracious unto you, and therefore will he be exalted, that he may have mercy upon you: for the LORD is a God of judgment:  blessed are all they that wait for him. Isa. 30:18

Yea, let none that wait on thee be ashamed: let them be ashamed which transgress without cause. Shew me thy ways, O LORD; teach me thy paths. Lead me in thy truth, and teach me: for thou art the God of my salvation; on thee do I wait all the day. Psa. 25 :3-5

Let integrity and uprightness preserve me; for I wait on thee. Psa. 25:21

Wait on the LORD: be of good courage, and he shall strengthen thine heart: wait, I say, on the LORD. Psa. 27:14

But they that wait upon the LORD shall renew their strength; they shall mount up with wings as eagles; they shall run, and not be weary; and they shall walk, and not faint.  Isaiah 40:31

The LORD is good unto them that wait for him, to the soul that seeketh him. It is good that a man should both hope and quietly wait for the salvation of the LORD. Lam. 3 :25-26

Therefore I will look unto the LORD; I will wait for the God of my salvation: my God will hear me. Micah 7:7

And ye yourselves like unto men that wait for their lord, when he will return from the wedding; that when he cometh and knocketh, they may open unto him immediately. Luke 12:36

For they themselves shew of us what manner of entering in we had unto you, and how ye turned to God form idols to serve the living and true God;  And to wait for his Son from haven, whom he raised from the dead, even Jesus, which delivered us from the wrath to come. 1st Thes. 1:9-10

Therefore turn thou to thy God: for my expectation is from him. He only is my rock and my salvation: he is my defence; I shall not be moved. Psa. 62:5-6

The LORD upholdeth all that fall, and raiseth up all those that be bowed down. The eyes of all wait upon thee; and thou gives them their meat in due season. Psalm 145 :14 and 15

And now, Lord, what wait I for?  my hope is in thee. Deliver me from all my transgressions: make me not the reproach of the foolish. Psa.39 :7-8

I wait for the LORD, my soul doth wait, and in his word do I hope. My Soul waiteth for the Lord more than they that watch for the morning:  I say, more than they that watch for the morning. Psa. 130:5-6

And it shall be said in that day, Lo, this is our God; we have waited for him, and he will save us: this is the LORD; we have waited for him, we will be glad and rejoice in his salvation. Isa. 25:9

And kings shall be thy nursing fathers, and their queens thy nursing mothers:  they shall bow down to thee with their face toward the earth, and lick up the dust of thy feet; and thou shalt know that I am the LORD:  for they shall not be ashamed that wait for me. Isaiah 49:23

For since the beginning of the world men have not heard, nor perceived by the ear, neither hath the eye seen, O God, beside thee, what he hath prepared for him that waiteth for him. Isaiah 64:4

For the Egyptians shall help in vain, and to not purpose:  therefore have I cried concerning this, Their strength is to sit still.
Isa. 30:7

Let us hold fast the profession of our faith without wavering; (for he is faithful that promised. Heb. 10:23

Therefore turn thou to they God: keep mercy and judgment, and wait on thy God continually. Hos. 12:6
