Heirs of the Promises

Lev. 26: 3-13, 3 If ye walk in my statutes, and keep my commandments, and do them; 4 Then I will give you rain in due season, and the land shall yield her increase, and the trees of the field shall yield their fruit. 5 And your threshing shall reach unto the vintage, and the vintage shall reach unto the sowing time: and ye shall eat your bread to the full, and dwell in your land safely. 6 And I will give peace in the land, and ye shall lie down, and none shall make you afraid: and I will rid evil beasts out of the land, neither shall the sword go through your land. 7 And ye shall chase your enemies, and they shall fall before you by the sword. 8 And five of you shall chase an hundred, and an hundred of you shall put ten thousand to flight: and your enemies shall fall before you by the sword. 9 For I will have respect unto you, and make you fruitful, and multiply you, and establish my covenant with you. 10 And ye shall eat old store, and bring forth the old because of the new. 11 And I will set my tabernacle among you: and my soul shall not abhor you. 12 And I will walk among you, and will be your God, and ye shall be my people. 13 I am the LORD your God, which brought you forth out of the land of Egypt, that ye should not be their bondmen; and I have broken the bands of your yoke, and made you go upright.

Romans 15:8, 8 Now I say that Jesus Christ was a minister of the circumcision for the truth of God, to confirm the promises made unto the fathers:

The Old covenant testifies of the New, and the New testifies of the Old. My promises from the Old covenant are yea and amen, as they are in the New Covenant. But, in every relationship there is give and take. What do I require of My people to do justly, love mercy, and walk humbly before their God. And in the doing of these simple things the keeping of My commandments will be met.

If My people that are called by My name will treat each other justly, and do what is right in My sight in their relationships, then My favor and My blessing will be upon them. Oh, if only My people loved to give the mercy that they have received from My heart. But so many want Me to bestow great mercy upon them, but they will with hold it from others. This should not be. If mercy is given it will return again to the giver, good measure, pressed down, shaking together, and running over. If it is with held, then when those that are with holding need mercy none will be found.

My people have yet to come to the knowledge and understanding that I am a just God and I judge not only the hearts of man, but their motives, and their actions. It is all a matter of the heart. And some come to My altar with offerings of unforgiveness, bitterness, anger, and resentment. These are unacceptable gifts, those of bulls and goats. They must be left at the altar, and the giver must return to the Cross where there is forgiveness of sin. Then return again to My altar with clean hands and a pure heart. To these will My blessings flow, and to these will My promises be released, even the blessings spoken over the fathers of long ago.

As My people walk in My Ways, and follow the commandments that I have set before them for the abundant life that I have promised they will inherit the land, and no weapon formed against them shall prosper. Oh My people want Me to do all the giving without giving Me anything in return. These are those that have introverted eyeballs. They see only what they desire, without consideration of what I desire. They see only their own needs, without thought of what I need or want. Their world revolves around, I, me, mine, and my. These will not inherit the promises, or the Kingdom of their God. These are self serving, using manipulation, control, and other means to build the kingdom of self. How can I release the blessings of My Kingdom to these? It cannot be.

But, I have a people that do justly, that love mercy, and that walk humbly before their God. They do not want to be served but to serve. They have been forgiven much, and they forgive much. They esteem others more highly than themselves. They don’t look down on others, but look up to the God that has delivered them from guilt and shame and remember from whence they came.. They understand My scale of justice, and administer justice with mercy. And as they come to My altar with clean hands and a pure heart, I cannot restrain Myself from bestowing upon them favor and blessings.

Watch now as the promises are released into the lives of those that do justly, love mercy, and walk humbly before their God. Heirs of the promises.
